From the South: Travel U.S. 321/221 to Boone. Just after entering the city limits, take a right at the first stoplight in front of the Walgreen's Drug Store, turning onto Deerfield Road. Watch for green National Guard Armory directional signs and blue Hospital directional signs. Go past the Watauga County Medical Center/Hospital to the bottom of hill. At the second traffic light, turn left onto State Farm Road. Go two blocks and turn right at the Fire Station No. 2 onto Hunting Hills Lane.The National Guard Armory is visible from the road and is located on the right behind the fire station and a baseball field.

From the East: Travel U.S. 421 to Boone. After entering town, turn left onto NC 105 Extension/221 and go to the first signal light. Turn left onto State Farm Road and go over the hill. Go through two signal lights and then turn left at the Fire Station No. 2 onto Hunting Hills Lane.The National Guard Armory is visible from the road and is located on the right behind the fire station and a baseball field.

From the North/West: Travel U.S. 321/421 into Boone and continue through the downtown area, staying straight (don't turn onto Hardin Street/321 near ASU). Turn right onto N.C. 105 Extension/ U.S. 221 and go to the first signal light. Turn left onto State Farm Road and go over the hill. From the West: Travel U.S. 221 to N.C. 105 into Boone. Go straight through the intersection of NC 105 and US 321/421 (Blowing Rock Road), with Wndy's on the immediate right. Go straight through and up the hill. This is N.C. 105 Extension. Turn right at the first light onto State Farm Road.
