Haunted Wilkes Paranormal Conference and WHAT presents:

The Great Mental

EVP Experiment

Wraith Hunter Analysis Team (W.H.A.T.), out of Fayetteville NC,

and the Haunted Computer Paranormal Conference

Ghosts? Spirits? Extraterrestrials?

or….

Maybe even us?

Come help us try to find out by joining in our experiment!

Up to 100 people will select from 100 numbered envelopes, each containing a question, words or phrase, and will then attempt to "imprint" these questions, words or phrases onto a digital recorder, using only their thoughts or mental energy to try and create an EVP.

The experiment will work like this:

*Register for the experiment in the designated location during Friday's conference check-in (2 to 7 pm on Oct. 23).

*A host will take you or send you to a certain room with your registration form.

*In this secluded room, each participant will select and open his or her numbered envelope.

*The monitor will start the recorder.

*You will say your name and the number of the envelope selected.

*The monitor will start the timer.

*Using only your thoughts or mental energy, you will have two minutes to try to "imprint" your question, words or a phrase onto the digital recorder to create an EVP.

*The monitor will call time.

*The monitor will ask you to say your name, your question, words or a phrase, and the number of your envelope. The monitor will then turn off the recorder.

The results will be analyzed and will be announced at the conference or sent out via an email after the conference.

Join us and you could help make paranormal history!

CONFERENCE PANEL SCHEDULE

CONFERENCE HOSTS
The conference is hosted by Appalachian author, supernaturalist, and folklorist
Scott Nicholson, with presentations and ghost hunts by Jeremiah Greer, R.G. Absher, Paranormal Scene Investigators, and Jonathan Watts of United Skeptics and Believers. Tentative panel topics for 2009 include hunting techniques, ghost boxes and EVP's, "Healthy Skepticism," hunting ethics, Christianity and the Paranormal, and a healthy interactive debate on the elements of science and faith in ghost-hunting. There will be some multi-track offerings so you'll have a choice of panels and break-out sessions to attend, including "Ghost Hunting 101," "EVPs" and "Go Toward The Light." We also have a psychic experiment planned involving EVPs. Meet the hosts

The Haunted Computer Paranormal Conference is open to all members of the public and the paranormal community, with no discrimination on the basis of age, gender, religion, viewpoint, alliance, group affiliation, or experience. The only requirement to participate in the conference is to register and to sign a waiver. Whether you are a television celebrity with tens of thousands of followers, or a curious beginner, you receive the same respect and opportunities. Scott Nicholson and Haunted Computer Productions believe that all viewpoints are valid and welcome in the spirit of expanding our mutual knowledge and understanding.
