R.G. Absher is a folklorist, park ranger, and musician who resides in Elkin. R.G. works with Old Wilkes, Inc, conducting candlelight ghost tours in downtown Wilkesboro and is author of Ghosts of the Yadkin Valley.bert Cleveland House built in 1779.

Paranormal Scene Investigators are based out of Rutherford County, N.C. and hosted the Lake Lure Paranormal Conference in 2009. PSI members will be leading ghost tours during the conference and give a presentation on modern ghost-hunting equipment.
